Enjoy the SHP shore power converter built with the state of art technologies using a power core designed to achieve the best robustness and endurance in market and including advanced digital control techniques.
The SHP shore converter provides permanent 3 phase supply to the yacht switchboard converting the power provided by the shore worldwide with high reliability, robustness and precision.
The shore converter includes a 50 Hz transformer, which enables the possibility of by-passing the converter when the shore ratings are compatible with the onboard electrical system so multiplying the life endurance of the equipment.
As an option, the power electronics can be reconfigured to provide a DC input from a battery and provide silent mode to the yacht.
> OPTIONS: Seamless transfer, by-pass mode, dual cord and silent mode.
The SHP shore converter offer a dual seamless transfer to reach the by-pass mode, which disables the converter electronics so the ship is fed directly from the shore cord through the 50 Hz transformer.
Thanks to this mode, the power electronics are only used when there is an actual need to drift the frequency or the voltage from the shore to the ship.
After the seamless transfer from the genset to the converter, the control system compares the shore voltage/frequency with the one in the ship. If there is a match, it performs a second seamless transfer from the converter to the shore, by-passing the power electronics.
This mode can be used in most of the ports around Europe.
The converter offer as an option the so called silent mode specially designed for when the ship is anchored. With this mode, the ship is fed from an onboard battery bank for a certain period of time, so the gensets can be turned off.
By this functionality, passengers will enjoy swimming and other recreational activities on the deck with no noise, vibrations or oil smells in perfect contact with sea an nature.
Once the ship go back to sailing, the converter will transfer the power to the gensets and will restore the energy used for the silent mode.
